Frederick County Launches Farm2Food Program

FREDERICK, Md. – The Office of Agriculture is bringing the Farm2Food Accelerator Program to Frederick County in January 2027. The 12-week program, presented by National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) Foundation, will help farmers and food businesses develop and expand value-added food and beverage products made with locally sourced agricultural ingredients.

“Farm2Food will give local farmers the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to turn great ideas into successful products,” said Katie Stevens, Director of the Office of Agriculture. “By creating more opportunities for value-added agriculture, we are strengthening farm businesses and supporting the future of agriculture in Frederick County.”

Farm2Food connects participants with food industry experts from across the country while providing practical training on product development, food safety, marketing, pricing, and sales. Frederick County will host Farm2Food's first county-based cohort, giving participants access to national expertise while building connections with other local agricultural businesses.

People interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to attend a virtual information session on October 22 from 4 to 5 p.m. Advance registration is required.
